Sharon Osbourne gives worrying health update on Ozzy

Fans of rocker Ozzy Osbourne are concerned after the rocker’s wife, Sharon, cancelled a festival event set to feature the music legend as fears for his health rise.

Sharon Osbourne has issued a concerning health update on her husband Ozzy in an emotional video posted to social media.

The Osbourne matriarch apologised to fans as she cancelled a festival appearance by the Black Sabbath legend, promising that refunds would be issued to ticket holders.

The famous family had been booked for the Mad Monster Party in Arizona, a horror and sci-fi convention where the “Osbournes” meet-and-greet package was being sold for a staggering $1000 a pop.

While son Jack will still attend the festival, 75-year-old Ozzy has been advised not to fly, so Sharon and their daughter Kelly have also cancelled.

With just two weeks before the event, the music manager explained their decision in a video posted to X.

“Regretfully, the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time,” she said.

“However Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbournes.

“Everybody who bought the Osbourne package will of course get full refunds.

“We would like to thank you all for your constant support with Ozzy. It means so much to him, you have no idea.

“All I can do is apologise that we won’t be there and I’m apologising to the people we’ve let down from my heart.

“So, God bless you all. Thank you so much.”

Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, going public with his diagnosis the following year.

As well as mobility issues, the condition has caused him to suffer nerve pain, depression and blood clots.

And, last year, the Black Sabbath rocker underwent the last in a series of operations after a fall from a toilet in 2019 dislodged metal rods in his back from a nearly-fatal quad bike crash in 2003.

Asked about the move, Ozzy said: “I’ll take one day at a time because I can’t make that much of a plan.

“Whatever I plan gets changed. I can’t travel yet.”

Ozzy said this fourth operation was the last one he believed his body could handle. “It’s going to be the final surgery, because I can’t do it any more,” he said.

“Regardless of the way it ends up, I can’t.”

“I walked upstairs today for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I’ve got diving boots on.”

Early last year, Ozzy announced he was retiring from touring, scrapping May dates scheduled for the UK and Europe.

“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans,” Osbourne wrote in a statement at the time.

“As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine. My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.”

The musician shared that he is “humbled” by his fanbase’s decision to hold onto their No More Tours II tickets for nearly four years, despite the uncertainty around when he would actually return to the road, if at all. “But in all good conscience, I have now come to the realisation that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required,” Osbourne explained. “Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F***S ME UP, more than you will ever know.”
