Robbie Williams brought a spark of his cheeky chappy persona to kick off his Australian tour this week as his brutally raw Netflix documentary series lands at No. 1 here.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the Angels superstar agreed to replace a missing piece of hair plucked from his nether regions and procured by the Kylie and Jackie O show to give away to a fan many years ago.

Williams joked he would “facilitate” the request but “I’ve grown a bit since then so I won’t be doing it on camera. But I’ll be doing it. They’re greyer now.”

But he absolutely burned a hapless media representative who dared to question how his “sex life” with wife Ayda Field Williams was going, in the wake of the British superstar’s recent admission that his libido had suffered because of medication he was on for depression.

Williams lobbed back several personal questions at the radio producer including asking about the proportions of his anatomy, “how many people have you had sex with” and “do you cheat?”

“Hey listen, one probing question deserves several back,” he said.

While the documentary featured several of the women in his life including All Saints singer Nicole Appleton and former SpiceGirl Geri Halliwell, two Australian stars who have figured in his 33-year career didn’t get a mention in the series.

Kylie Minogue is briefly spotted when they are filming the Kids music video but Nicole Kidman, who he released a cover of Somethin’ Stupid with in 2001, is absent from the four-part series.

“Well, I’ve never mentioned my mum or dad so if I didn’t mention my mum and dad, why would I mention Nic and Kylie?” he said, before saying there wasn’t video footage of his time with them.

The Let Me Entertain You superstar said he and his wife did have reservations about allowing their four children appear in the film. While you mostly see the backs of them, 11-year-old daughter Teddy steals several scenes including singing his signature song Angels.

“There was reservations about letting (the children) be part of it because there’s a law that you can’t show their faces, unless you do, until they’re 16,” he said.

“Teddy just foisted herself into the documentary and the bits were just so beautiful that we decided we should let the world see her.”

He said he was also “selfishly” motivated by the future prospect of sharing a stage with his talented daughter.

“I also selfishly want a moment on stage with my daughter. And if I could get the go ahead from the wife to let that happen in the documentary, then that means she can come on stage with me, he said.

“You know, I don’t know if that’s a great thing or a bad thing for her, but selfishly, as a father, I just want that moment to go ‘Check this out. She’s unbelievable!’”

Williams, who has an electronic music side project called Lufthaus with Melbourne musicians Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis, said he “just becomes Australian” when he is here, saying he is grateful to his fans for their unwavering support.

He is also making plans to meet up with his hero Ange Postecoglou at a Tottenham Spurs match in the wake of the Australian manager’s success and the fact Angels has been adapted by the team’s fans in tribute to the successful coach.
