Police have reportedly been seen storming the hotel where Liam Payne tragically fell to his death in Buenos Aires last week.

Police have been seen storming the hotel where former One Direction singer Liam Payne tragically fell to his death.

Payne died in the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires after sustaining injuries when he fell from the third floor last week.

According to The Sun, police are raiding the hotel looking for information on staff who allegedly sold drugs to Payne.

The singer died with numerous narcotics inside his system, including “pink cocaine,” a recreational drug that typically mixes methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA and others.

Officers were seen going through documents and examining computers in the hotel lobby.

Prosecutors said last week in a statement they believe Liam was “in a state of semi or total unconsciousness” during a substance-induced episode when he fell.

An insider revealed that police were hoping to identify Casa Sur staffers who had been working on the day of Payne’s death and in the days before.

As part of their raid, they were seeking documents within the hotel’s registration books as well as information from its computers.

It’s reported that police were also demanding CCTV footage that has yet to be provided by the hotel.

In the weeks before his death, Payne was spending all his time with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

Just two days before his death, Cassidy chose to leave the singer on his own and return to Florida.

It’s been claimed by a close pal of Payne’s girlfriend that she felt trapped in a “hostage situation” and understood that leaving could spark disaster.

A friend of Cassidy told the New York Post on Wednesday that the 25-year-old influencer agonised over her decision before ultimately flying home to Miami.

Cassidy allegedly told her pal she was worried Payne might turn to drugs if she left but had no other choice after spending over two weeks in the South American country.

She called Payne her “best friend” and the “love of [her] life,” revealing the pair had started discussing marriage before his passing.

“A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together,” the influencer, 25, shared on Instagram Wednesday.

“I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/ engaged & together forever 444.’”

It comes after Payne’s loved ones learned it could take more than a week before the singer’s body can be taken home.

The One Direction star’s father Geoff Payne arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last week to formally identify his son, and visit the hotel room where he died.

“Geoff has been told it might take ten days for the tests to be completed and for him to take Liam home,” a family friend told Daily Mail.
