Photo of DMA’S star with The Wiggles goes viral

The Wiggles have gone viral after sharing a throwback photo from a show in the 1990s with a young child who would end up being an Aussie rockstar.

It was a blast from the past for The Wiggles as they reunited with an Aussie rock legend at Falls Festival.

The children’s musical group took to social media on Monday to share a throwback photo of band members Murray Cook and Anthony Field posing with three young kids.

“How cool is this?! One of the very first Wiggles shows in 1991 was held at a Sydney preschool, back when Murray and Anthony were early childhood educators” the band wrote.

“And in attendance that day was a very young Mason from DMA’S!

“Fast forward 32 years and everyone reunites after sharing the stage at Falls Festival.”

Music fans were shocked to see a very young Mason - the lead guitarist of Aussie rock group DMA’S - posing with the Wiggles as a child.

Fans on Instagram couldn’t get enough of the photos.

“That’s so hugely incredible,” one person wrote.

“OH MAN HOW EPIC!!!!!!!” another person said.

“That’s so cool!” a third person wrote.

“Wow! Nice pictures of The Wiggles 1991 to 2023. @thewiggles,” a fourth person said.

The Wiggles self titled first album featured Phillip Wilcher.

Mason founded DMA’S in 2012 with fellow members Johnny Took and Tommy O’Dell.

In the 1980s, before the formation of the Wiggles, Field and Jeff Fatt were in the popular Australian pub band The Cockroaches.

Field left the band in the early 1990s and went back to university to finish his degree in early childhood education.

In 1991, he formed the Wiggles with Fatt, Cook, Greg Page and Phillip Wilcher.

Mason founded DMA’S in 2012 with fellow members Johnny Took and Tommy O’Dell.

The three-piece rock band gained popularity after the release of their debut single Delete. Their self-settled EP was released in 2014. Their new album How Many Dreams? is set to drop March 31.
