‘Hates us’: Australian fans fuming over Beyonce world tour announcement

Beyonce has announced a new world tour to celebrate her latest Grammy winning album, but there’s bad news for Australian fans.

Beyonce has sparked backlash from her Australian fans after announcing her new world tour.

After scoring big at the Grammys on Sunday night, the superstar revealed that she’ll be travelling around the world for her new show, Cowboy Carter Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour.

However, while the singer revealed she will be hitting numerous cities in America and London in the UK, Australia has once again been left off the list.

“Australia left out yet again,” remarked one fan on Reddit.

A second agreed, saying: “I’ve accepted she’s never coming back here again. I regret missing the 2013 tour so bad.”

“She’s never coming back,” ranted a third, with another commenting: “I feel so bad for Australia left out again!”

“She hates Australia,” insisted another.

The star left fans disappointed when her epic Renaissance World Tour, comprising 56 shows across 10 countries and 39 cities, didn’t manage to make it Down Under

Shockingly, it has been over a decade since Beyonce last toured Australia, for her 2013 The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

It was a major success for the star, and went on to gross $40 million across Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the superstar had a huge night at the Grammys.

After four previous nominations in the category, Beyonce finally took out her first-ever Album of the Year win for her sprawling, multi-genre album, Cowboy Carter.

After waiting her whole career for the moment, she kept it brief, dedicating the award to Black country music pioneer Linda Martell and saying: “I just hope we keep pushing forward, opening doors.”

Members of the Los Angeles Fire Department presented Beyonce with the trophy, one of several times the show reflected the recent wildfires that burned thousands of homes.

She also won the Grammy for best country album – to her evident surprise – in an announcement from Taylor Swift.

“Genre is a cold word to keep us in our place as artists,” she said in her speech. “I’m still in shock. Thank you so much for this honour.”

The singer now has 35 trophies, won over more than two decades, making her the most decorated artist in Grammy history.
