Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn Blum ‘doesn’t trust him’ after Foo Fighters frontman revealed he has a secret love child

Grohl’s other half of 21 years is having a ‘rough’ time picking up the pieces after the Foo Fighters frontman revealed he had fathered a love child.

Dave Grohl’s wife is reportedly having a “rough” time after The Foo Fighters ‘ frontman revealed that he has a secret love child.

Jordyn Blum, 48, who has been with Grohl for 21 years and had three daughters with him is now “focused on her own life and her girls”, a source told US celebrity magazine, People, on Friday.

“It’s been rough for her. Her mind is not on her marriage though. She doesn’t trust Dave. She’s not wearing her wedding ring,” the insider added.

“She’s leaning on a group of girlfriends. She feels lucky to be surrounded by love and support.”

The Foo Fighters are rumoured to be announcing a hiatus amid the bombshell as Grohl fights to save his 21-year marriage to Blum.

The rock band announced they had cancelled their appearance at this weekend’s Soundside Festival in Connecticut, US, with just days to go, and were replaced by Jack White.

A source told The Sun: “The band need time to be with their families and focus on regrouping.

“It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave’s mum and now the birth of his new child.

“He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family.

“Being on the road isn’t the best thing for any of them at the moment.

“It feels like a hiatus is the best thing for them collectively.”

Last month, Grohl admitted in a post on Instagram that he had fathered a love child.

He wrote: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved as we move forward together.”

Grohl admitted previous infidelity to The Guardian in 2007, saying that he had also cheated on his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood.

The two married in 1994 but separated by 1996, and divorced the following year.

In the same Guardian interview, Grohl said: “Jordyn and [eldest daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.”

Grohl and Blum met in 2001 and have been married since 2003. They have three daughters: Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and ten-year-old Ophelia Saint.

A period of turbulence for the band began when Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died unexpectedly in 2022.

His body was found in a hotel in Bogota, Colombia, where the group was due to play a music festival.

The tragedy is thought to have devastated Grohl, who shared a strong bond with Hawkins. “The two were inseparable. It’s been a very dark period in his life,” added the source.

Grohl, 55, was the drummer for Nirvana, and has held the unofficial title of the “nicest man in rock” for decades.

This hiatus will not be his first. Grohl took time out in 2012 and then in 2016.
