LOOKING fit and fierce, Delta Goodrem is celebrating her newfound sense of fun on the set of the video for her single Wings.
The song showcases her desire to explore the electro-pop song which has been crowding the airwaves for the past year.
It also marks a dramatic departure from exercising her incredible range and shows off a sexier growl and bottom end to her vocals which fans haven’t heard much of before.
Goodrem says the song is about letting go and have fun as she enters her thirties after 15 years of hard work to build her career against often harsh criticism of her stylistic moves.
While the video was expected to premiere this week, it is believed it will drop in the next seven days before she performs Wings for the first time on The Voice on August 9.
Goodrem told Who magazine she has undertaken a stricter fitness regimen in preparation for her role as Grizabella in the Andrew Lloyd Webber production of Cats which returns to Australian stages later this year.
She is also avoiding alcohol in the days leading up to singing, including her live performances on the television talent show.
“I’m really gung-ho. I want to have my body and mind completely fit to be able to take on three months of performing every single night,” she said.
And she has sacrificed her sweet tooth for kale chips.
“I feel most comfortable in my body now than I ever have. I feel sexier,” she told Who.
