Britney Spears has revealed she danced the night away in just a black blazer and her “first diamond thong” during her wedding celebration. And she has video to prove it.
Spears, 40, married Sam Asghari, 28, in an intimate ceremony at her California home on June 9.
On Saturday she shared a video of herself dancing in the expensive undies with the caption: “LIVING IS GIVING … pssss don’t worry I had my first diamond thong underneath my jacket … hope I didn’t offend anyone 😜😜😜 !!!.”
In another section of the video, the Oops! I Did It Again hitmaker danced with Madonna to Like A Virgin.
Spears married Asghari during a short ceremony that lasted less than 10 minutes in a flower-decked tent in her backyard.
Dressed in an Atelier Versace gown and arriving in a horse-drawn carriage, Spears opted to walk herself down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love.
The traditional white dress reportedly took more than 700 hours to make. It featured an elegant portrait neckline and a corsetted bodice with pearl buttons, as well as a high slit skirt and a dramatic three-metre train.
It was paired with a four-metre satin trimmed veil and gloves. The bride sparkled with an estimated 62 carats of diamonds (reported to be worth $A780,000) from Stephanie Gottlieb, in the form of drop earrings, a tennis necklace, and a tennis bracelet.
Spears and Asghari met on the set of the singer’s Slumber Party music video in 2016.
He proposed to her at her house after they had been dating for about six years.
The loved-up couple revealed recently Spears had suffered a miscarriage.
Reverend Clint Hufft, who officiated the nuptials, told Entertainment Tonight that the couple opted for “relatively traditional” vows and that they were absolutely “locked in on one another” as they tied the knot in front of the small crowd.
“Everything about this was the real deal. They really were just delighted with each other. You could feel during the ceremony it got deeper as they said their vows to each other and put the rings on each other,” he told the popular celebrity news show.
“Everything just seemed to have this wonderful depth to it … almost like they were going through a transition from what they were before into what they became through the ceremony. That vibe kind of permeated the entire room. All of the guests were just mesmerised.”
Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, Kate Hudson, Zendaya, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Donatella Versace were some of the A-listers in attendance.
It’s understood that Spears’ brother Bryan was a guest, but that she did not invite her parents or sister after the legal battle over her conservatorship came to an end.
Lawyer Matthew Rosengart, who played a vital role in the case, was also there.
Spears’ two teenage sons Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, who she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, were also not in attendance on their mum’s big day.
“They think the focus of this day should be on Britney and Sam, and they are very happy for her moving forward,” Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told Page Six.
However, the fairytale event was not without drama.
Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander was charged with trespassing, vandalism and battery after he broke into her California home and attempted to crash her wedding.
Alexander, 40, was caught by police outside Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks after he live-streamed his break-in on Instagram just hours before the ceremony took place.
“Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,” Mr Rosengart, told the New York Post’s Page Six exclusively.
“I’m working closely with law enforcement to ensure Mr Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The New York Post reports Alexander is being held on $US2500 ($A3500) bail and also had an open warrant out for grand theft embezzlement and possession of stolen property, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Bail was set at an additional $US20,000 ($A28,000) for those charges.
In the video, Alexander could be heard arguing with a member of staff who repeatedly told him to leave. “Don’t put your hands on me – where’s Britney?” he asked.
Alexander managed to get inside the venue set up for Spears’ wedding to Asghari. He was eventually stopped by police from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department in California, after they responded and photographed being tackled to the ground outside.
Fans who saw the live stream posted for someone to call the police.
“Someone phone the cops already,” wrote one follower who tuned in to the livestream.
“I’m so scared,” said another.
Alexander had previously backed Spears and the #FreeBritney movement.
He attended a rally outside a courthouse in Los Angeles in August 2020.
Spears and Alexander wed in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2004 and their marriage famously lasted just 55 hours before they called it quits.
