THIS week saw the release of an action-packed teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but with two months to go before we can return to that far, far away galaxy, fans have been desperately looking for clues about the new flick.
A few eagle-eyed Star Wars buffs have noticed an incredible hidden detail in the movie poster which we all seem to have missed at first glance.
The Sun reports that it turns out that the poster contains a hidden reference to one of Star Wars’ most iconic characters — chosen one-turned-villain-turned-hero Darth Vader.
News producer Stephen Murrow first spotted an echo of the dark lord in the promotional material, taking to Twitter to share his sharp observation.

The poster depicts all the main characters in Disney’s sequel trilogy, with Daisy Ridley’s Rey and Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver, featuring prominently on the film’s artwork.
Original Star Wars hero Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, looms ominously over the bunch, while Leia Organa, brought to life by the late, great Carrie Fisher, is front and centre.
But many fans think there’s another character looming in the background, although you’ll have to look very closely to spot him.
An annotated version of the poster seems to show the rough shape of Darth Vader’s iconic helmet, with the characters making up the conflicted villain’s silhouette.
Luke perfectly fits the shape where Vader’s helmet slots together, with Rey, Kylo and Leia’s relatively symmetrical positions reflecting the bulk of the mask.

There are even the harsh lines of an imperial shuttle where the grill should be, as part of the ingenious Vader-inspired layout.
Praising the subtle design on Twitter, some fans have noticed that you may be able to make out Star Wars’ poster boy if you really squint.

The true mastery is that once you see it, it becomes glaringly obvious.
But before then, all you get is the sense that a dark presence is lurking in the background, as if the Force itself is trying to tell you something.
