Married At First Sight’s Daniel Holmes has deleted an anti-vaccination rant he posted just weeks before he was cast on the dating series.

The 30-year-old Brisbane personal trainer, who is involved in this season’s cheating scandal with bride Carolina Santos, wrote “they’re gonna have to tie me down before I get vaccinated” in a newly-emerged social media post in September, So Dramatic! reports.

Daniel came into the experiment as an intruder last week, in which he was matched with Jessica Seracino, with the pair beginning filming in October.

The production company for MAFS, Endemol Shine, required all contestants to be double-vaccinated, meaning Daniel either went against his stance and got the jab to star on the show, or received a medical exemption.

The caption on the Instagram post, which he posted alongside a photo of himself at the gym, has since been deleted.

According to screenshots unearthed by So Dramatic!, the original post read: “They’re gonna have to tie me down before I get vaccinated. Not because I don’t believe in it, but because they’re taking away my freedoms if I don’t. It’s the oldest rule in the book of sales. Get the prospect saying yes and they’re easier to convert.”

He’s since changed the caption to, “Awk”, seemingly short for “awkward”.

A standard Covid information tag still sits on the post.

The since-edited caption now just reads, “Awk”.

Furthermore, in the comments section of the image, Holmes was seen disputing with a follower who wrote, “You do not have the right to infect other people,” in which Holmes responded, “you realise it doesn’t make you immune?”.

It was one of the last posts he made before signing up to MAFS when he went on an Instagram hiatus, before returning online in late December on his birthday.

“Bday trip. I’ve been drinking heaps. Will continue such until jan,” he wrote. His account was taken over by producers in February.

When contacted by news.com.au, Channel 9 said: “We work closely with all our production partners to ensure the health and safety of everyone working on our productions and Covid safety plans and vaccinations are an important part of that. We feel confident that these plans are implemented and this ensures the safety of everyone as we comply with all relevant health orders in each state.”

While he was dumped by Seracino on Monday night’s episode, Daniel will continue to appear in the series as part of a cheating scandal unfolding.

Previews for tonight’s episode show Carolina – who is still paired with Dion Giannarelli – and Daniel continue their secret liaisons, with the narrator suggesting they embark on an “adulterous” relationship.
