Lauren Sanchez is now Mrs Bezos.
The bride, who exchanged vows with Amazon titan Jeff Bezos in Venice, Italy, changed her Instagram handle to Lauren Sanchez Bezos shortly after saying “I do.”
She also deleted her entire grid, leaving only two new posts — one of her wedding celebration and one showing intimate images of her getting ready.
On her Instagram, the bride shared an image showing her being dressed by Dolce with assistants in attendance and an image of the designer attaching her veil.
In the post, the bride described the wedding dress as “not just a gown, a piece of poetry”.
In the wedding celebration image — which came before the post showing the bride being dressed — the new Mrs Bezos held hands with the Amazon CEO at the star-studded wedding party.
In an interview with Vogue published by the magazine on her wedding day, the bride said “the whole thing was like a dream”.
It described the dress as a mermaid-line gown and features buttons down the dress. She completed the look with Dolce & Gabbana Alta Gioielleria Miracolo earrings and a veil. It took 900 hours to put together, according to Vogue.
“I’ve never had a dress designed for me like this — something so personal,” she said.
When it came time to choosing her gown, Sanchez said, “It went from ‘I want a simple, sexy modern dress’ to ‘I want something that evokes a moment,’ and where I am right now.”
She also said that she “researched brides in the 1950s” for design inspo.
But not everyone loved the bridal gown. Former US TV anchor Katie Couric accused the Amazon billionaire’s second wife of being “tacky”.
Couric, 68, weighed in on a social media post from Jack Schlossberg, a writer famous for being the nephew of John F. Kennedy Jr. and the daughter of Caroline Kennedy.
In her comment, Couric said: “Welcome to the eighties — when big hair and conspicuous consumption ruled. Apparently tacky is back.”
Schlossberg replied: “Let’s bring back scrunchies.”
Other Instagram users in the replies backed her in saying: “I love this side of Katie Couric!”
Multiple sources told Page Six on Thursday that the former journalist and Bezos had already legally tied the knot in the US after signing a multimillion-dollar prenup.
The couple did not register to make the union legal in Venice, despite throwing a lavish multi-day celebration on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
“Often a marriage in a foreign country is not valid in the USA, or creates other issues, so yes it is likely they are already married,” a Florida-based lawyer explained.
Venice officials recently confirmed to the Times of London that the famous pair did not make an official request to marry in the City of Canals — a move required by law in Italy.
“I can totally rule out that they will have a civil ceremony in Venice under Italian law,” an official told the outlet — though reps did not confirm whether Bezos, 61, and his new bride, 55, had completed a civil ceremony ahead of their massive celebration.
The pair married Friday before A-lists guests including members of the Trump family, a handful of Kardashians, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Huma Abedin and Barbra Streisand, among many others.
Guests reportedly arrived to the Venetian soiree to the strains of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” performed by Matteo Bocelli, and a gospel choir reportedly sang Whitney Houston’s hit “Higher Love.”
The over-the-top celebration is estimated to have cost the famous couple $50 million.
“It’s going to be perfect — everything they wanted and with everyone they love,” a source told Page Six in May.
The celebrations are expected to continue with a massive post-wedding reception.
