Hit90.9 radio duo Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills announce departure

After only a year on air, two breakfast radio hosts have revealed they are leaving Gold Coast airwaves.

TWO breakfast radio hosts have revealed they will be leaving Gold Coast airwaves after just a year on air.

It was announced on Hit90.9 on Tuesday morning that Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills – branded Those Two Girls – would stop working alongside Dan Anstey and Ben Hannant on Friday.

“Here’s the thing – four hours of radio a day, two shows a day, there’s a lot of time and preparation behind the scenes,” Lise said on air.

“The logistics for us, given our families are in Brisbane – it’s a lot for us to get our heads around. Sarah and I have made the tricky decision to streamline a bit ...”

Sarah finished with: “Yes, we are stepping away from the brekkie crew.”

Lisa and Sarah plan to continue their national network show Those Two Girls which airs 5am to 6am daily.

Anstey and Hannant will continue on the Hit90.9 breakfast show.

There has been no announcement of a replacement.
