THE Hiddleswift whirlwind world tour is headed Down Under.
They’ve been to Rhode Island, Rome and Ipswich, England. Next stop: Gold Coast.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift and her dashing new movie beau Tom Hiddleston are reportedly set to land on Australian soil early tomorrow morning, with Hiddleston due to report for duty ASAP on the Gold Coast set of his latest Marvel superhero movie, Thor: Ragnarok.
The pair were spotted at Los Angeles’ main airport, LAX, on Wednesday night, where they were boarding a flight bound for Sydney together.
Swift and Hiddleston first seen together on June 15, only a few weeks after Swift split with DJ Calvin Harris. The new couple were then less than shy about flaunting their budding romance at Swift’s Fourth of July celebrations earlier this week.
While conspiracy theorists believe Swift and Hiddleston may be a ‘showmance’ for a music video, Swift has taken a break from making music after 10 years on the album/tour/album cycle.
Whispers suggest her record company may be preparing a Greatest Hits album for later this year, which may include some new material.
Swift is no stranger to staying off the grid while in Australia and is flanked by up to four security guards at all times.
Last December the singer went to Hamilton Island to play a intimate gig for radio station Nova and invited competition winners.
She was so impressed with the security at her hotel, and the fact photographers and media could not access the island, that she returned to the hotel for an early 26th birthday party.
On that same tour, Swift hung out on the Gold Coast with Blake Lively, who was there shooting film The Shallows.
Swift also celebrated her 24th birthday party in Melbourne with friends including Kiwi singer Lorde.
Thor: Ragnarok — in which British actor Hiddleston plays baddie brother Loki to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor — was due to start filming this week at Village Roadshow Studios.
The film’s Kiwi director Taika Waititi tweeted a “sneak peek” of the Gold Coast set – only revealing extensive bluescreen.
