A GOLD Coast restaurant owner enjoyed a day she’ll never forget at the weekend — when Chris Hemsworth stopped by and sang her happy birthday.
But Sushi at Palm Beach owner Angel Ng said she didn’t realise who she had been serving until the Thor actor and his mates left her popular restaurant.
“I said they looked very familiar and they just smiled, after they left my staff said oh my god Thor came here,” Ms Ng said.
She said the trio came in just before closing time but she was happy to serve them and hand over a karaoke microphone.
“They were very nice people, they sang after they asked me for the microphone in my shop,” she said.
“They sang a birthday song to me and I was so happy, they said someone told them it was my birthday that’s why they came here. Unbelievable.
“We had no customers in because it was late but we had Uber Eats drivers coming in and they didn’t even recognise them. It’s too unbelievable.”
Ms Ng, who is known for taking photos with customers and posting the photos on the her restaurant walls, said she was blessed the famous actor shared images of the restaurant to his 19.5 million followers on Instagram, resulting in plenty of customers today.
“They said you’ll be so surprised when we tag you,” she said.
“Chris Hemsworth said to put the picture on the wall, a big one on the door and on the wall, that was his instructions.
“I’m so lucky and so truly blessed.”
