Gold Coast’s own Sophie Monk will be among the stars who take the stage for the Logies

She may not be up for an award but a Gold Coast girl will still have her moment in the spotlight.

GOLD Coast’s Sophie Monk may not be up for an award at this year’s Logies but she’ll still have her moment in the spotlight.

The Love Island host will get to step into her presenter shoes to announce one of the night’s award winners.

There is just one week to go until the red carpet rolls out for the 61st annual event, which is returning to The Star Gold Coast.

And it’s not just the stars and their fans who are excited.

Fashion designers including Gold Coast-based Sonia Stradiotto Couture are busy putting the final touches on their pieces

In an Instagram post, she remains tight-lipped on the gowns and who would wear them.

“Happy Sunday Beauties,” she wrote on Instagram

“This time next week our gowns will be getting ready for the logies (sic).

“Who is @soniastradiottocouture dressing.......omg can’t wait to tell you.”

The coverage of the red carpet will be televised from 7pm on June 30 with the official ceremony to start at 7.30pm.

Other presenters set to join Monk on stage include Hamish and Andy, Boy George, Kelly Rowland, Rebecca Gibney, Sigrid Thornton and Carrie Bickmore.

There will be performances on the night by artists including Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.

American boy band Why Don’t We and the cast of Young Sheldon will be there too.

Last week The Star unveiled how TV’s biggest names would be wined and dined during the ceremony.

Live voting for the most popular awards will begin tomorrow and finish at the end of the TV WEEK Logie Awards red-carpet telecast.
