Pokemon Go players took to Facebook to express their frustration with one complaining of withdrawal symptoms.
Other players said they were putting off walking the dog and walking to the gym until they could play the game again.
Game developers Niantic have issued a short statement on their website.
“Due to the incredible number of Pokémon GO downloads, some Trainers are experiencing server connectivity issues,” the website reads.
“Don’t worry, our team is on it.”
There is no word when servers may be up again and trainers can go out and “catch ‘em all”.
