WHICH TOURISM AND BUSINESS BIGWIGS MADE THE CUT FOR COAST LOGIES

After posing for a pic with Hemsworth in Lennox Head earlier in the day, Matt Damon was snapped with Kerrie Ellery at the Suns Vs Collingwood match, the picture taken by her husband, retired Supercars driver Steve Ellery.

Eddie Maguire also cheered on his beloved Pies at Metricon while Bachelor in Paradise’s Tara Pavlovic cheered on the Suns after she and beau Sam Cochrane revealed they had called off their engagement and were no longer a couple.

Ten members of the 22-strong cast of the 2018 season of Married at First Sight made the trip to the Coast for the Logies (Telv and Sarah weren’t invited, Tracey couldn’t come), most of them spent the day at the races before stepping out on the town at Love, in Broadbeach minus Ashley Irvin and Davina Rankin, who were holed up at The Star.

In fact, there was enough star power in town on Logies eve for everyone to dine out on as TV royals including Bert and Patti Newton touched down.

Carrie Bickmore and Dr Chris Brown were part of a large party out for early dinner at Koi Dining and Lounge Bar on super Saturday night.

Sonia Kruger, former Nine boss David Gyngell and wife Leila McKinnon, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Logies guest performers Jess Glynne and Conrad Sewell and Kerry Packer (well, the actor renowned for his portrayal of him, Lachy Hulme) were among the dinner guests on high at Nineteen at The Star throughout the night.

Grant Denyer, whose wife Chezzi flew into town wearing her Vote Grant for Gold T-shirt, chose steak specialists Moo Moo in Broadbeach while vegan Osher Gunsberg ate his vegetables — “my body weight in incredible food” — at Greenhouse Canteen at Miami. “Thanks everyone for the recommendation, it was SO good,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

“We got take away in case I get hit with the dreaded “veggie stack” at the #Logies tomorrow. I want another stomach to fit all the food in #veganglutenfree #vegan #glutenfree.”

Sunday morning saw the early bird celebs out for coffee and a morning walk.

Casey Donovan had breakfast at the Beachside Pavilion, Tracey ‘Grimmo or Grimmers to her mates’ Grimshaw started her day at Elk Expresso, Amanda Keller and Barry Du Bois walked around the markets and Ray Martin ducked over to Pacific Fair to buy a tie to wear to the awards.

It’s fair to say, the Coast has never been and probably won’t be as star studded as it was this weekend until TV Week brings its show on the road again next year.

Same time, same channel — same great place to live, work and play.
