Prince William and Kate Middleton have shown a rare public display of affection during a royal polo match on Thursday.

In the candid photographs captured, the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, can be seen throwing her arms around the Duke at the Royal Charity Polo Cup 2022 at Guards Polo Club.

Still wearing his polo uniform, Prince William kissed his wife on the cheek during the trophy presentation at Guards Polo Club in Windsor.

The couple ended the engagement walking away together with their arms affectionately wrapped around one another.

Earlier, the couple arrived at the polo club at Flemish Farm with their sunglasses on for the warm summer‘s day. Kate donned the same Finlay Henrietta sunglasses seen at Wimbledon earlier in the week.

Prince William was casually dressed in a blue shirt and white jeans with sneakers on before changing into his uniform for the match.

‘They manage to perform the more formal reward kiss perfectly while giving hints and cues to signal the actual depth of their relationship and how they would normally behave with more intimacy when they were out of public view.”

The Duchess congratulated a victorious Prince William with an affectionate kiss on the cheek after she spent the afternoon cheering him on at Royal Charity Polo Cup 2022 in Windsor.

“Kate’s mimed embrace at the start of the kiss as she throws both arms out to welcome William with the expression of a desire to hug shows how they are tempering or toning down their body language in public,” Ms James said.

‘This gesture shows how a full hug would be normal for the couple.

“The way her legs cross at the ankles. This very girlish gesture suggests she can still get coy when her husband kisses her in public.”

The Duke, 40, has previously played in charity polo matches with his brother Prince Harry, 37, who now lives in Santa Barbara with wife Meghan Markle, son Archie, and daughter Lilibet Diana.
