EVEN celebrities get rejected by celebrities sometimes.
That’s the lesson Kesha learned the hard way when she attempted to score a hug off her idol Jerry Seinfeld at an event they were both attending this week.
The cringe-worthy exchange was all caught on camera, as the 63-year-old comedian was in the middle of a red carpet interview when Kesha ran over to him and interrupted.
In the horrifyingly awkward video, uploaded by the interviewer on Twitter and shared hundreds of times, she blurts out enthusiastically: “I’m Kesha, I love you so much, can I give you a hug?”
But Seinfeld was having none of it, replying simply: “No thank you.”
Like any super-fan, the pop star refuses to accept his answer the first time around, making it even more horrifyingly uncomfortable when he rejects her a further two times.
Seinfeld dug the boot in even further after she left, telling the interviewer: “I don’t know who that was.”
You can watch the entire exchange for yourself below — but be warned: it is savage.
