Celine Dion upgraded her warehouse to fit her 10,000 pairs of shoes

THE Canadian diva recently upgraded some warehouse space she owns for a reason she herself has dubbed as “crazy”.

AH, to be as rich as Celine Dion.

If you were, you could’ve owned an extravagant mansion in Florida, a restaurant chain and apparently, a warehouse — to fit your 10,000 pairs of shoes of course.

The Canadian diva has always been praised for her elegant style and considering the apparent amount of items she has to choose from, it’s no longer a surprise.

The 49-year-old singer headed to Monday night’s star-studded Met Gala and revealed the insane fact to Women’s Wear Daily as well as her inability to part with any of her wardrobe items.

“I cannot give anything away because every piece that I buy has brought me to where I am tonight, They’re part of every step that I take and I have an attachment to it,” she said.

“You can call it crazy. I keep everything, but I just keep buying a bigger [warehouse] space. I have 10,000 pairs of shoes,” she added.

Despite being in the spotlight for more than four decades, Dion’s attendance to the exclusive New York gala was actually the first time she’d been.

“This is like having a job for the first time or having a kiss for the first time — this is big,” she told WWD. “I’m not going to have enough eyes [to see it all].”

Dion’s shoe figure is even crazier when you compare it to a September, 2013 interview she did with Ellen DeGeneres where the singer revealed her Florida mansion housed 3,000 pairs of shoes.

A little bit of maths will lead you to the realisation that Dion has accumulated 7,000 pairs of shoes in less than four years.

That’s 163 pairs a month or, if you want to go even further, five pairs of shoes a day.

It’s probably lucky then that Forbes estimated the singer was worth close to US $380 million in June last year.
