SHE claims to be Australia’s answer to Lady Gaga, and last night, Grecko hit the Brownlow red carpet in a Gaga-esque, self-designed, flesh-baring gown. But that did little to impress the Australian public.

Maybe it was Grecko’s description of the ensemble — “don’t f**k with me” — that hit us offside.

Or maybe it was her description of Australia’s most popular WAG, Rebecca Judd. Oh wait, she’s never heard of her.

Thank goodness for Geoffrey Edelsten, who told Fairfax media, “You know that one who reads the weather sometimes?” Phew. Escaped that awkward moment.

Or maybe, just maybe, it was her description of the event itself.

“I’ve heard this is Australia’s biggest fashion event, it’s about football right?”

Clever.

Australia isn’t buying what Grecko’s selling, not that she cares.

“I don’t say worst dressed, I say closed minded,’’ she posted in defence.

“Everyone says a woman should look elegant. But who defines elegant?

“A woman should feel free to express herself and do what she wants with her body. She shouldn’t be shamed for not ‘fitting’ in.

“This is me, not a stunt for shock factor. I believed in what I was wearing.”

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Grecko, but it seems Australia isn’t buying it.
