A former staff member of Sean “Diddy” Combs has wept as she told a New York court the music star raped her “more than once” and when she was staying in his home refused to let her lock her bedroom door.
The witness, who can only be identified as “Mia”, is the second person on the stand after Combs’ former girlfriend Cassie Ventura to lodge sex allegations at the mogul.
She also said Combs was regularly violent towards her, including throwing a computer at her head when the wi-fi in his trailer was temporarily not working.
“I was desperate, terrified and trapped,” she told the court.
“I would have been silenced. I was going to die with this.”
Combs is on trial in New York on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs has denied all the charges. He has not been charged in connection with any of Mia’s courtroom claims. The star was impassive throughout Mia’ testimony.
Mia has also said Combs forced her to work “insane” hours, which included staying awake for five days straight. She had to be almost always in his line of sight and even crack his knuckles for him.

The court has granted Mia — which is not her real name — anonymity, which means few details can be reported about her. However she was visible to the court including Combs.
She said she worked for Combs for eight years, rising from an assistant to the star to an executive. When Combs interviewed her, she said, it was at his home and he was wearing only underwear.

‘Threw computer at my head’
Mia claimed Combs was violent towards her multiple times. She alleged he would throw objects at her, threw her against a wall and into a pool, and slammed her arm into a door.
One of those occasions was in a trailer when the wi-fi wasn’t working. She met with technical staff and informed Combs it was being reconnected.
“He started screaming at me and said, ‘Don’t come back until you’ve worked it out. I don’t care if you have to call Bill Gates’.”
She then said he threw at computer at her head which only just missed her.
“Terrified,” she said, she ran out of the trailer and hid behind a van.
“He also sexually assaulted me, more than once,” she told the court.
She claimed the first incident happened at a suite in New York’s luxury Plaza Hotel during the evening celebration for Combs’ 40th birthday in 2009. Mia alleged she was given two shots “that hit me hard” and surprised her as he could handle that much liquor.
“He leaned in and kissed me. His other hand went up my dress,” Mia said.
She said she blacked out and later woke up, clothed, in the room with the sun coming in.
“I thought ‘gosh, he must have been so drunk’. It’s a huge accident and it will never happen again.”
Not allowed to lock bedroom door
However, Mia said far worse happened on multiple occasions – always when Ms Ventura or Combs’ other girlfriends were away.
At Combs’ home she was given a room to sleep in but she was not allowed to lock the door, she said.
“Puff said it was his house and no one locks my doors”
But, claimed Mia, Combs’ security guards – all male – had multiple locks on their doors.
“I was asleep in the room with no locked door, I woke up with the weight of a person on me – Puff.
“He told me to be quiet,” Crying in court, Mia said “he put himself inside of me”.
On a different occasion, she claimed he came up to her in his walk in closet with his penis out.
“He grabbed my head and put it in there”.
Mia repeatedly she said she “froze” during the incidents.
“I felt like trash … helpless, terrified.”
Asked by prosecution lawyers if she said no to Combs, Mia replied, “I couldn’t tell him no about anything, not even a sandwich”,
Other members of staff that had complained about less had been fired, Mia said. Combs’ human resources team was “not there to protect me”. She added she felt like she couldn’t go to the police either because in her interactions with police while with Combs they had been starstruck by him and let him off minor infractions.
“Puff was above the police,” she said.
“I thought he would fire me and ruin my future and somehow twist the story.
“I didn’t want to lose everything I had worked for”.
Mia was asked why she was now talking about the allegations.
“I thought I could just die with it as it's the most shameful thing in my life. But I swore to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.
On the standd, Mia claimed she had witnessed first hand multiple beatings of Combs’ girlfriend Ms Ventura.
“You gotta help me, he’s going to kill me,” she said Ms Ventura said of once incident.
Mia also said Ms Ventura looked “like she was struggling” when she saw her briefly at the notorious “freak off” sex parties.
‘Five days, no sleep’
Mia also seek about the “insane” working conditions Combs allegedly demanded.
She said she had heard that working for Combs could be “24/7” but she assumed that was an exaggeration.
It was not.
On her first day she said she didn’t sleep for 24 hours and was “too nervous” to even take a nap in case Combs had a task for her to complete.
“Working for Combs was chaotic, toxic and exciting,” she said.
“The highs were high and the lows were really, really low.
“Puff’s mood dictated the environment at work”.
Mia said she often had “no idea” when she would next be able to sleep. She testified she had a prescription for a stronger version of the drug Adderall. But even that had its limits.
“Five days, no sleep,” she said of one trip to Las Vegas with Combs.
Eventually, Mia said, “I had a physical breakdown. My hearing went, I had blurred vision, and I was hysterical and couldn’t stop crying”.
“Puff then said I could go to sleep”.
‘Crack Combs’ knuckles’
She said she “felt insane,” with the amount of work she was expected to complete.
And yet at one point, Combs said “I don’t know what you do all day”.
That prompted Mia to send his chief of staff a three-page letter detailing all the tasks she performed.
That included looking after all of his social media, liaising with others in the entertainment industry on his behalf, “any requests from PD (Puff Daddy),” being available “24/7 unless otherwise directed,” servicing his needs “from when he wakes up to when he falls asleep … and anticipating his needs whims and moods”.
“PD can ask you to do 17,000 tasks at one time from cracking his knuckles to writing his next movie,” she wrote.
She essentially took no annual leave, Mia said, and no down time when she was theoretically off shift.
One night, after her work was supposedly done, she ducked out of Combs’ Los Angeles home because she was “desperate” to meet friends.
“I thought (I could) if he was asleep or we were off the clock.
“I got in big trouble.
“Security called me to say he was sending them down to find me. I didn’t realise I wasn’t allowed to leave. I had to seek permission from Puff”.
