Prince William’s brutal Camilla move

Prince William has removed the Queen’s sister from the royal payroll after she was paid hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Prince Harry set for $12.8 million cash haul

Prince William has removed Camilla’s sister from the Duchy of Cornwall payroll after she earned hundreds of thousands of pounds as an interior designer.

The Prince of Wales inherited the Duchy after the Queen’s death when it was passed down from King Charles.

Annabel Elliott, 75, has enjoyed an annual cash injection for almost two decades for her work on the Duchy holiday cottage portfolio.

The work included updating and decorating the royal family’s attractive period properties in Cornwall, Wales and the Isles of Scilly, according to Britain’s Daily Telegraph.

Since taking over the estate, Prince William has chosen not to employ Ms Elliot, sources say, although this is no reflection of her work.

Accounts show that Ms Elliot received sums ranging between £19,625 (A$38,673) and £82,272 (A$162,000).

She was also paid expenses for the purchase of furniture, furnishings and retail stock.

These sums varied from £7160 (A$14,000) to £90,285 (A$177,871).

The latest Duchy of Cornwall accounts reveal that Ms Elliot was not paid for her services in between 2023-2024.

The report simply repeats a line from the previous year’s accounts.

It says: “During the period to Sept 8 2022 the Duchy paid Mrs Annabel Elliot, the 24th Duke of Cornwall’s sister-in-law, in the normal course of business and on an arm’s length basis £19,625 ($41,708) for fees and commission and £12,316 ($26,801) for the purchase of furniture, furnishings and retail stock for the Duchy of Cornwall Holiday accommodation, Duchy offices and Duchy Nursery.”

Sources said that Ms Elliot’s work was considered complete.

The Duchy has previously admitted that contracts for design work were not put out to tender.
