Hospital staff have allegedly attempted to access Kate Middleton’s private medical records in a major security breach.

Bosses of The London Clinic have launched an investigation after at least one member of staff allegedly tried to access the Princess’ notes at the world-renowned hospital where the 42-year-old underwent planned abdominal surgery in January.

“This is a major security breach and incredibly damaging for the hospital, given its unblemished reputation for treating members of the Royal Family,” an unnamed source told The Mirror.

“Senior hospital bosses contacted Kensington Palace immediately after the incident was brought to their attention and assured the palace there would be a full investigation.

“The whole medical staff have been left utterly shocked and distraught over the allegations and were very hurt that a trusted colleague could have allegedly been responsible for such a breach of trust and ethics.”

The London clinic refused to comment on the alleged breach.

A spokesperon told The Mirror: “We firmly believe that all our patients, no matter their status, deserve total privacy and confidentiality regarding their medical information.”

Kensington Palace said: “This is a matter for The London Clinic.”

The Metropolitan Police have not confirmed whether it had been informed of the claims, according to The Mirror.

The security breach comes after the Prince and Princess of Wales were pictured at their local farm shop over the weekend.

The sighting was the first time Kate has been spotted out in public, save for two blurry paparazzi pictures of her travelling in a car, since undergoing the planned abdominal surgery and last week’s photoshop scandal.

In pictures and video that first appeared in The Sun, the Princess of Wales smiled and looked relaxed on the shopping trip near her Windsor home.

The 42-year-old mum-of-three was dressed down in a hoodie and dark leggings, and carried her shopping as she chatted to Wills in the car park of the farm shop.

The images sparked a new wave of online theories, including that the woman in the picture is a lookalike.

Others have suggested that the pictures, which have been taken from a video, were created using artificial intelligence (AI).

Customers who spotted Kate at the farm shop said she looked “happy, relaxed and healthy” as she ventured from her Adelaide Cottage home to visit the nearby store.

It was claimed that Kate and William then spent the rest of the morning watching their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, play sports.
