A British TV star has been blasted for attacking Princess Catherine’s physical appearance after she questioned if the beloved royal was a smoker as she had “aged so much”.
Good Morning Britain personality Narinder Kaur made her controversial comments on X following the Princess of Wales’ appearance at the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London.
It was a rare major appearance for the wife of Prince William, who is re-entering public life after finishing her treatment for cancer.
In her original tweet, Kaur, who once featured on the reality show Big Brother UK and now describes herself as a broadcaster, wrote: “Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much? Isn’t she only 42? Is she a smoker? It’s the only explanation.”
The tweet drew hundreds of shocked responses from followers who slammed it as “nasty” and “disgusting” due to Princess Catherine’s ongoing health struggle after being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing preventive chemotherapy.
One X user, called Catherine, wrote: “The obsession with women’s looks, even when they have just recovered from cancer, is sickening. It is even more nauseating when it comes from a woman.”
Kaur later shared a tweet in which she admitted that the comments she made were “stupid” and “insensitive”.

“I put out a tweet earlier. A genuine ask about why Kate Middleton had aged so much. It was genuinely – an ask. I thought she was perhaps a smoker,” she wrote.
“It was, on reflection, a stupid, insensitive tweet. More so because someone who lost her brother to cancer should have known better.”
Following her apology, Kaur claimed she had received “racial abuse” from other X users.
She then posted a video on the social media platform, emphasising that it hadn’t been her “intention” to “put out a stupid tweet” about the Princess of Wales.
“My intention was not to be malicious or nasty or anything. I’m not like that, anybody who knows me. It was stupid to ask about the ageing, I’ve admitted that, and I put my hands up, and I’ve apologised if it caused offence,” she stated.
“The only people who were offended though, because many people on Twitter and social media have asked exactly what I’ve asked and but did not receive the sexual, racial, violent abuse that I did from accounts with EDL flags, Union Jacks, disgusting abuse.”
The media personality said a lot of the critical comments that she received were about Meghan Markle, as she asked: “What’s Meghan got to do with it?”
She accused her critics of “pitting Kate against Meghan”.
“You exposed your narrative. You exposed that what this was all about was I as a brown woman, an Indian, had the gall to criticise Kate’s appearance,” she said.
“I’m not going anywhere. I’m not leaving the country. I’m gonna continue. You can keep cancelling me as much as you like, but you will not silence my voice just because I’m a brown woman, and it is that, and you will never convince me otherwise.”
KING CHARLES ‘TO RELAX’ ROYAL CHRISTMAS RULES
Steeped in tradition, Christmas at Sandringham is one of the royal family’s biggest get-togethers.
This year may look slightly different amid reports that King Charles is planning to make changes to some of the traditional rules around the big day.
The celebration has traditionally run on a strict 72-hour timetable, devised by the late Queen Elizabeth II, with precise time slots for meals, gatherings for drinks and bedtime.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told The Mirror that King Charles will most likely relax the rules this year in a move away from the “stoic” approach of the late Queen and Prince Philip.
“I don’t think Charles will exactly rip up the rule book, but there’s a strong chance he’ll loosen some of the rules,” he said.
“I think a lot of the more stoic aspects of Christmas were down to the Duke of Edinburgh, who was a stickler for timings. But I think the King is more relaxed about these things,” Mr Larcombe added.
“Traditionally they’ve never been allowed to engage in political talk over dinner, and they can’t leave the table until the monarch does. But again, those protocols may be gently phased out by Charles now.”
The development came as the monarch welcomed the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Windsor Castle.
King Charles is hosting Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa during his visit to the UK to mark the year of King Hamad’s Silver Jubilee.
Members of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards greeted King Hamad, who has a close relationship with the British royals.
QUEEN’S FINAL DIARY ENTRY REVEALED
The final diary entry of the late Queen Elizabeth II has been revealed.
During her reign, Her Majesty kept a private diary to note key events in her life, a tradition she carried through to her final days.
Royal biographer Robert Hardman discovered the handwritten entries while researching updated chapters for his book about King Charles.
He said the late monarch’s final entry was made at Balmoral, where she died on September 8, two days after meeting then prime minister Liz Truss.
In her diary, the late Queen recorded that her private secretary, Edward Young, had visited her.
She also wrote down some highlights about swearing in new Privy Council members.
“It transpires that she was still writing it at Balmoral two days before her death,” Hardman wrote.
“Her last entry was as factual and practical as ever.”
