KERRI-Anne Kennerley has never looked better and it’s all because she has finally been able to chill out.
“The most liberating thing is to be able to say ‘I don’t have cancer,’” the 61-year-old tells news.com.au.
“Coupled with that I just don’t let the little things bother me, at all, anymore. When you get to the space of running your life at your pace, you just feel better about yourself.’’
For almost 30 years it was five-days a week of live television for Kerri-Anne (or KAK to most of Australia) and any less energetic mortal may have conked out after 20.
“I loved every minute of that pace but now I do the things that I want to do as opposed to having to be everywhere and ‘on’ all of the time,” she says.
And it shows.
KAK looks sensational.
“I have a happy life, a husband (John) of 30 years who I adore, and a new 17-month old dog,” she smiles.
“And don’t forget my golf! I adore my golf and play as much as I can.’’
Work is something KAK will never give up and she currently has a TV relationship with the Seven Network as well as Foxtel.
“I have some Sunday Night stories on the boil and am fronting a series on CI (Crime Investigation) channel on Foxtel called Love Gone Wrong,’’ she says.
“Some of these love crimes are just extraordinary. I am riveted by all of them.”
If the reaction on social media is any indication, fans of KAK agree that she’s looking bloody brilliant.
“How does KAK look better now than 10 or 20 year ago?” asked one. “I would like some of KAK’s age reversal cream — she looks better and better,” said another. “She does look amazing, younger by the year,” agreed another.
But despite all the praise for her good looks, KAK says being cancer-free is still her biggest triumph.
“I just never thought about the about the negatives,’’ she says of being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
KERRI-ANNE’S TOP TIPS FOR GOOD HEALTH:
• Moisture is the most important thing for your skin — lots of water and lots of moisturiser.
• I have Omnilux treatments (non-invasive, red and blue light treatments that stimulate collagen production and are available at credible salons including Zecca and The Clinic in Sydney)
• I have been weight training with Billy at City Gym (Sydney) to build bone mass which the cancer drugs had affected
• I also have treatments a few times a year that infuse moisture into the skin at (KAK’s preferred skincare spot) The Clinic in Sydney’s Bondi Junction
• It is also so important for every woman to check their vitamin D levels as mine were horrendously low and that can be the catalyst for other, bigger issues
• Just try not to take everything so seriously. It’s life and you just have to live it as best you can
