‘Not looking back’: Hugh Jackman, Deborra-Lee Furness finalise divorce

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have finalised their divorce nearly two years after they announced their separation.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have officially finalised their divorce, each “pleased with” the settlement that was reached.

While the divorce was wrapped up earlier this month, court records show that a judgment of divorce was filed on June 12 but not made public until this week, according to the Daily Mail.

Other documents, including a Qualified Medical Child Support Order and a Findings of Fact/Conclusions of Law, were filed on June 10.

The pair originally met on the set of Corelli in 1995 and married the following year. They share two children together: son Oscar, 25, and daughter Ava, 19.

The divorce settlement was handled behind closed doors, with Furness “pleased with” the terms, according to sources close to the couple.

“There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved,” the source said.

“Both are coming out of this financially secure.

“These is not going to be any drama with this – it gives that closure that she needed.”

Jackman is “looking forward to the future and not looking back”, according to another source.

The division of their assets – including a large property portfolio spanning Australia, the UK and US – was an added complication of divorce because the couple had not signed a prenuptial agreement.

The couple announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.

Rumours followed that Jackman was dating his Broadway co-star Sutton Foster. The pair went public with their relationship in January this year.

But Furness is not in a rush to start dating again, according to a close friend.

“She is not jaded by men but is taking the time to heal,” the friend said.

“She has turned down dates from some incredible guys.

“She knows what she brings to the table. Once the dust settles on this divorce, she will be open to dating again.‘
