Fifi Box gets reveals driver’s license suspenion for six months on air

Fifi Box has lost her driver’s licence for six months following three consecutive driving infringements.

The radio personality shared her ordeal this morning on her Hit breakfast program Fifi, Fev & Nick, expressing her dismay with co-hosts, Brendan “Fev” Fevola and Nick Cody.

According to Box, she went 6km/h over the speed limit several days in a row and has been stripped of her licence.

“I went over my demerit points, which is a silly thing,” she said. “I went through the tunnel three days in a row. I saw the red light camera, and then there was another one, and they added up and I lost my licence for six months.”

“I went through the tunnel three days in a row. I saw the red light camera, and then there was another one, and they added up and I lost my license for six months,” the Melbourne-based star said on air.

Box said her driving offence wasn’t as bad in relation to other infringement out there, so the punishment does not match the crime, in her opinion.

“There are people that drink and drive, or use drugs and drive and they get the same as I did and I was just going a bit over in the tunnel,” she said.

“I wasn’t way over, I’ve never used the tunnel before and I was like ‘bang, bang, bang’ three days in a row.”

However, her frustrations were starting to show when Fevola and Cody did not see her point of view, joking that she deserves “capital punishment”.

“You can’t even run through red lights anymore, it’s a nanny state!” Cody said, sarcastically.

“I’m just saying,” Box replied. “I wasn’t way over.”

Fevola said it didn’t matter because it was still over the speed limit.

“Have you ever seen the ads, ‘Speed kills’?” he asked her, to which she replied: “OK, don’t make … I was going 66 in a 60 zone.”

“That’s six over then,” Fevola pointed out.
