Bianca Censori wanted to back out of Grammys stunt but Kanye West insisted

Bianca Censori was reportedly desperate to back out of her shock nude Grammys stunt at the last minute, but Kanye West insisted she follow it through.

Stop the flashing lights.

Bianca Censori tried to back out of her scandalous stunt at this week’s Grammy Awards red carpet several times, but Kanye West insisted that she go through with her see-through look, a close West confidante told the New York Post.

“She would have much rather worn a pretty dress,” said the insider, who has spoken with the 47-year-old rapper and his wife following Sunday’s stunt.

“She would have enjoyed the evening a lot more.”

On music’s biggest night, 30-year-old Censori took off her fur coat in front of a sea of cameras to reveal a sheer, barely there mini dress without a bra or underwear.

As cameras flashed, the rapper told his wife, “You’re making a scene now,” according to a lip reader.

While Censori ultimately agreed to bare it all on the red carpet, the pal told The Post that she was initially worried about exposing herself.

“She was really nervous and wanted to back out several times, but he didn’t want her to,” said the insider.

“When Ye gets something in his head, there’s no talking him out of it. But make no mistake, this was totally him and not her.”

It’s not the first time that Censori has been nearly naked in public.

A former creative director for the fashion line Raga Malak, she was often photographed in skin-tight bodysuits and skimpy outfits. But the pal said that Sunday was different.

“It’s one thing to be naked for a photo shoot or in an outdoor environment,” the insider told The Post. “But she was naked in public on the Grammys red carpet. This is literally what people have nightmares about, and she did it on purpose. But she wouldn’t have done it without Ye.”

The 24-time Grammy winner, who was previously married to Kim Kardashian from 2014 to 2022, took to Instagram after the viral stunt to share details about the controversial ensemble.

“Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever. My love, my best friend. My wife,” he wrote.

The couple did not attend the Los Angeles, California, ceremony, and were photographed being escorted out of the Crypto.com Arena by cops.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. told Entertainment Tonight that West was invited to the live broadcast, but he only wanted to walk the red carpet.

“He walked the red carpet and then got in his car and left,” a source told Page Six.

Additionally, an insider told the outlet that West’s red-carpet spectacle “was an attempt to replicate the album cover of Vultures.” The cover for West’s 2024 album Vultures 1 features Censori with nothing on but thigh-high boots and a teeny-tiny piece of fabric.

“Kanye said that this would make a splash,” the pal told The Post.

“And a splash it made! It took a lot of courage on her part, but ultimately they’re both happy that she did it. It’s all anyone is talking about.”
