THE much-anticipated new season of hit reality television series The Bachelorette’s Gold Coast stars have been revealed.

Coast contestant and psychologist Carissa Croft, 30, said she was excited to see the show evolving.

Croft said she chose to apply for the show after not finding a deep connection with anyone after moving to the Gold Coast for work.

“I’m still waiting to meet the person I want to create and share a life with,” she said.

“The more I found out about Brooke the more I saw her as someone I could see myself with.

“It was amazing to see a lead from the Indigenous community and am really looking forward to Australia embracing it.”

But she did confess, her awkwardness might throw the new Bachelorette off.

“I can be very awkward when I like someone and ramble or tell stories about nothing that go in circles.

“I hope the right person adores my awkwardness, rather than runs away from it.

Croft, originally from Coffs Harbour, said she will use her time on the show to break down the stigma around mental health.

“If people are nasty, it is more a reflection of themselves,” she said.

The other Coast-based contestant, Konrad Bien, 31, lost his job in Victoria and made the move to the Sunshine State when he applied for he series.

The spunky contestant Blurton has already deemed “good with his hands” (see the video below) looks to be an early shot at winning the heart of the new star.

Bien said he had been in three serious relationships. His most recent came to an end after five years.

“We were going to get a house and have kids but we kind of grew apart and it was a real eye opener,” he said.

Bien said he has “loyalty, honesty, love, laughs and a few headaches” to offer the Blurton. His dream date?

“A trip to a country costal town to find hidden spots and watch the sunset by the water, while eating tasty local treats and day dreaming about the magic of the universe.”

Bien said he was preparing himself for post-show social media fame by reading past experiences of contestants in the mansion.

“I don’t really have a social media following right now so I don’t really know what to expect,” he said.

“All we need in life is a handful of friends and good health.

“There will always be people who don’t agree or have different perspectives of things and you just have to take it with a grain of salt.

“(Social) media trolls are irrelevant to me at the end of the day.”

He said he was “super excited” when he initially heard about the lead being from the Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ community.

“The first nations culture is huge to me and I was lucky enough to be exposed to that in my upbringing,” Bien said.

“And to have the show incorporate the LGBTQIA+ community was massive as well.

“Hopefully with more of this stuff it will be normalised.”
