It’s getting riskier to open Britney Spears’ Instagram in public.

The Toxic singer is at it again with her raunchy posting, sharing a series of nude, close-up snaps from a beach trip which have had a mixed response from fans.

While many continue to praise the pop star for celebrating her freedom from her conservatorship and exercising control over her life by sharing her body with the world, others are concerned.

“Britney darling…” one simply wrote.

“Why?” added another, while one fan said: “OK sweetie … some photos don’t need to be shared with social media.”

Others weighed in with: “Britney is a celebration of body,” and, “We love a free queen who can do what she chooses with her body.”

The two X-rated, captionless posts, which see the recently married star completely naked holding her breasts in a wide-brimmed hat while gallivanting on the sand, come one day after Britney’s mum, Lynne Spears, posted a public apology to her daughter.

Lynne Spears pleaded for her daughter’s forgiveness in an Instagram comment after Britney said in a lengthy post that “a genuine apology would help give [her] closure” in their family feud, reports the New York Post.

“I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years!” Lynne responded.

“I love you so much and miss you!” she continued, adding, “Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologise for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”

Lynne, 67, also begged Britney, 40, to “please unblock” her so that they “can speak … in person”.

Nude snaps affect relationship with sons

Naked snaps have become a staple of Britney’s social media presence since her conservatorship ended after 13 years in November 2021.

In August, Britney’s ex Kevin Federline gave an interview in which he said their teenage sons, Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15, have struggled with the posts, revealing they’ve decided to stop seeing their mother in recent months.

Dad-of-six Kevin, who lives with his wife Victoria, 39, their two children, his boys by Britney and his two eldest from a previous marriage, says he has “apologised” to Preston and Jayden over the stream of online pictures posted by their mother.

“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself’,” he said in the interview, some of which was aired on 60 Minutes in Australia.

“But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.”

While she’s careful to censor her body parts with emojis, Britney’s days of expressing herself on the app could be numbered if the posts get any raunchier given Instagram’s stringent nudity policy.

In August, Instagram was harshly criticised on social media after it allowed a nude photo posted by Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee to remain online for hours, prompting accusations that it applied double standards when it came to male nudity.

The 59-year-old rocker wrote “Ooooopppsss” next a photo of him entirely naked with his genitalia visible.

Lee posted the photo to his 1.4 million followers on Thursday morning, but it took five hours for Instagram to remove it, the New York Post reports.

Social media users said that women and LGBTQ people who post photos that are less risqué often have them taken down in far less time.
