Ben Affleck spills on reignited romance with Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck has opened up about his rekindled relationship with Jennifer Lopez, saying that how they got back together is a “great story”.

Ben Affleck couldn’t be more “grateful” for his reconciliation with Jennifer Lopez.

The actor, who has been dating his ex-fiance since April, was asked to share the story behind what led to their rekindled romance that practically broke the internet in 2021, reports the New York Post.

“I can say that it’s definitely beautiful to me,” Affleck, 49, told WSJ magazine. “And, you know, one of the things I really value across all facets of my life now is that it was handled in a way that reflected that.

“It’s a good story. It’s a great story. And, you know, maybe one day I’ll tell it,” he said. “I’ll write it all out … and then I’ll light it on fire.”

The A-lister also got candid about receiving a “second chance” not only in his career and personal life, but “as a human being”.

“Life is difficult, and we are always failing and hopefully learning from those failures,” Affleck said.

“The one thing you really need to avail yourself of the opportunities provided from that growth is the second chance.”

Affleck said that his life now reflects “not just the person that I want to be, but the person that I really feel like I am”.

“Which is not perfect, but somebody who tries very hard and cares very much about being honest and authentic and accountable,” he said. “It’s hard to say who benefits more, without going into gossipy detail.”

Meanwhile, Lopez told US Today show last month that she still believes in marriage, despite having been divorced three times – from Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony.

“I don’t know, yeah, I guess,” the singer, 52, replied, when asked if she would consider saying “I do” again. “I still believe in happily ever after, for sure, 100 per cent.”
