MILEY Cyrus has angered fans after she pulled out of a scheduled appearance at the Teen Choice Awards.
The Malibu singer, who is engaged to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, was due to accept the ceremony’s highest gong, the Ultimate Choice Award, in Los Angeles today.
But Cyrus said “an unrealistic schedule“ meant she had to pull out at the last-minute.
“I am beyond bummed I couldn’t make it to the show as I had every intention of being there to accept and celebrate,” Cyrus said on Instagram.
And the internet was not happy.
Miley Cyrus doesn't turn up to host the #TeenChoice awards but instead apologies on Instagram and then plugs her new single. ð¤£

PARIS STUNS IN ZIMMERMANN
She’s fast becoming a fashion ‘it’ girl ... and Paris Jackson showed why at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
The 19-year-old actor and model — who appeared on the cover of Vogue Australia in July — posed on the blue carpet in a stunning sleeved floral dress by Sydney-based designer Zimmermann.
Her hair was in a messy up-do and she toughened up the feminine look with her leg tattoos (teamed with strappy heels, of course).
Meantime, Chris Pratt made his first public appearance since announcing his shock split from wife, Anna Faris.
He sported no wedding ring to accept the award for Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor for his action role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Other winners included Zendaya, who was named Choice Breakout Movie Star for her role in Spider-Man Homecoming. She used her speech to slam “injustice and hatred” in the wake of the Charlottesville tragedy.
“Right now I want to talk to all of the young people in the audience,” Zendaya said onstage, adding she wanted them to pay attention to “all of the injustice and the hatred that is happening not only in the world, but our country”.
“I need you to be educated I need you to listen,” she said.
“I need you to go ahead and understand that you have a voice, and it is OK to use it when you see something bad happen.”
Earlier, British singer Rita Ora turned heads with her yellow hair. The RIP singer was one of the first to walk the blue carpet at the Galen Center before she performed on stage.
Rapper French Montana and former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson also performed at the 19th annual show.
It marks Cyrus’s involvement with the Teen Choice ceremony for more than a decade, the New York Post reports.
