It’s shaping up to be another huge night at the Grammy Awards for Beyoncé.

The singer leads the pack of nominations for the 2025 ceremony with a whopping 11 nods - taking her career total to a record-breaking 99.

Following closely behind are Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar and Charli XCX, who each scored seven nominations.

Grammys favourite Taylor Swift had slightly lower representation by her usually-dominant standards, attracting six nominations across the board.

However, she’s also managed to break a record, thanks to her seventh entry for Album of the Year (for The Tortured Poets Department), which has officially made her the most-nominated woman in that category.

Newcomers Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan have made a dramatic entrance in their maiden year, each also collecting six nods.

Several major categories were announced in a special live-streaming event on Friday (US time) which featured appearances by past winners including Kylie Minogue, Mark Ronson, Ben Platt and Victoria Monét.

In total, there are 94 categories with golden gramophones up for grabs.

The 2025 Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing Monday, February 3 (AEST).

Changes have been made to the major categories this year, with the number of potential nominees reduced from 10 to eight, and rules were adjusted to contend with the rise of AI technology being used in the industry.

Plus, three new categories have been introduced: Best African Music Performance, Best Pop Dance Recording, and Best Alternative Jazz Album.

The show will also debut the Harry Belafonte Best for Social Change award, which was renamed and recategorised to honour Harry Belafonte, a calypso music star and civil rights champion, who passed away last April at the age of 96.
