Emmys 2024: Stars let loose at glitzy afterparties

TV’s biggest stars have hit up the glitzy Emmys afterparties overnight – and after a 4-month delay, they were clearly ready to let loose.

Sarah Snook accepts Emmy

TV’s biggest stars let loose following this year’s Emmy Awards, hitting up the suite of afterparties thrown by the major networks and studios.

Succession, Beef and The Bear all dominated at the awards, with Australian actress Sarah Snook among the night’s big winners.

The Succession star was emotional as she dedicated the award to her baby daughter, with whom she was pregnant filming the final season.

“I carried her in this season, but it was her who carried me,” Snook said.

Minutes later, the show also took out the night’s final award, for Best Drama Series, giving it six wins.

After all the trophies were handed out and speeches wrapped up, it was time for the celebrities to let their hair down.

Fresh off Succession’s triumphant night, its stars Arian Moayed, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, and Nicholas Braun headed to the Max afterparty at San Vincente Bungalows.

Earlier in the evening, Culkin won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series – and during his speech, told his wife he “wanted more” kids.

“You said maybe, if I win!” he pleaded to her from the stage.

The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, who respectively won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a comedy, had plenty of reasons to celebrate as they hit the post-Emmys Governor's Gala.

Katherine Heigl – who delighted fans by taking part in a mini-Grey’s Anatomy reunion on stage during the show – also opted to celebrate at the Governor’s Gala, while The White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge was spotted heading into the HBO Max party.

The Last Of Us’ Pedro Pascal may have had an arm injury – which earlier he’d joked on stage was the result of a fight with Kieran Culkin – but he still made a dapper appearance alongside his sister, Lux, at the HBO Max party:

It’s no surprise everyone was ready to party – the Emmys had been forced to postpone from last September, with its initial date impacted by the ongoing Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strikes.

Its host, Anthony Anderson, was largely considered a success, particularly in the wake of last week’s Golden Globes bomb by comedian Jo Koy.

Next up on the major awards season calendar is the Grammys, which will be held on February 4.

SZA tops the nominations leading into that ceremony, with the singer up for nine awards.
