Celebrities have hit the red carpet for the annual AACTAs in Sydney – where Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky have stolen the show.

Australia’s answer to the Oscars is rolling out the red carpet in Sydney for the annual Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts awards.
Local film and TV stars are arriving at the Hordern Pavilion for this year’s AACTAs, presented by Foxtel Group, where Marvel hero Chris Hemsworth is set to be honoured with the coveted Trailblazer Award.
But before the awards ceremony, which will broadcast tonight at 7.30pm on Channel 10, the spotlight is fixed on the red carpet.
Hemsworth, 39, and wife Elsa Pataky, 46, made a show-stopping entrance hand-in-hand:
While it’s hard to steal the spotlight from one of Hollywood’s most recognisable actors, Pataky pulled it off in a radiant red gown:
Elsewhere, Christian Wilkins turned heads in a glamorous strapless corset.

Baz Luhrmann’s ambitious biopic Elvis is leading nominations with 15 nods in the film category, followed by The Drover’s Wife The Legend of Molly Johnson and Three Thousand Years of Longing, each of which have 13 nods.
Elvis, which grossed more than $456 million worldwide since its June release, is nominated for Best Film and Luhrmann for Best Direction, while Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge and costume designer Catherine Martin are all up for accolades.
On the small screen, ABC’s Mystery Road: Origin boasts 15 nominations, while Foxtel/Binge dramas Love Me and The Twelve trail closely behind with 10 apiece.
Binge, which launched in mid-2020, is the most nominated streaming service this year with 20 nominations.
Tonight’s ceremony will be broadcast on Ten at 7.30pm, and will be encored on Fox Docos, Saturday, December 10 at 7.30pm
