Angie Kent shows off bold new hairstyle in Instagram video

Former Bachelorette Angie Kent has ditched her long golden locks for an edgy new style after revealing the amount she pays on cosmetic procedures.

Angie Kent is giving “manic pixie girl vibes” with her latest new look.

The Bachelorette-turned-podcast host has decided to ditch the sandy-blonde extensions to make way for a silvery-blonde bob to “spice up” her look for winter.

The 31-year-old documented her image transformation on Instagram direct from the hairdressers’ chair in Brisbane.

Angie declared she's done with the extensions and ready for a change.

“We’re gonna get rid of all of these guys, and we might be going a bit shorter and a different colour,” she said, revealing the results in a video after a number of hours in the salon.

“Manic pixie girl vibes!” she captioned the video, as she joyfully tossed her tresses from side to side.

It’s quite the shift from her long, wavy locks.

The silvery peroxide blonde is very Daenerys Targaryen.

Last year, Kent got candid about exactly which cosmetic procedures she regularly has done – and the annual cost adds up to enough for a fancy car.

Having undergone a glamorous makeover to shift from Gogglebox punter to prime time star of The Bachelorette in 2019, Kent told Body+Soul that she’s “a massive fan” of injectables, adding that people should “do whatever you want to do” when it comes to their faces.

“I went from sitting on my couch in my PJs to wearing a fancy dress with my hair and make-up professionally done,” Kent, who has long been an open book when it comes to her transformation, told Body+Soul in November.

“Of course it was a shock to viewers, but my appearance doesn’t change who I am as a person. I was very much myself,” she said, adding of her procedures: “I think that you should do whatever you want to do.

“I’m a huge fan of ageing gracefully, but I’m also a massive fan of injectables and treatments,” she said.

“I’ve been open about getting the same work done for the past five years. I’ve been honest about getting Botox. In fact, I’m mad for a little bit of Botox. I’d never not have it.”

Kent said she’d ‘never not have Botox’.

While she didn’t specify which, Kent went on to admit that she receives some of her cosmetic procedures for free as a public figure.

When Body+Soul added up the real-life cost were she to foot the entire bill for her various appointments – hair, Botox, fillers, eyebrows, teeth and skin – it came to more than $26,700 a year.

“Anything to do with your face, you want to go to someone who’s good,” Kent said, adding: “It does cost a lot, so do what’s best for your face, rather than copying a certain celebrity or doing it just because everyone else is doing it.”
