ROLLING around a bed with a beautiful woman is all in a day’s work for American pop star Jason Derulo. But he insists he is not getting turned on, is he for real?

WHO does American pop prince Jason Derulo call when he wants a banjo player?
Keith Urban guests, alongside the legendary Stevie Wonder, on Broke which features on Derulo’s latest top 10 album Everything Is 4.
“I wanted banjo on that song, I asked around and everyone said he was the guy. Why not have the best?” he said at the Darling hotel.
“It’s a clash of worlds but to me, and people like him, music has no boundaries.”
Derulo arrives back in Australia on a promo visit as the album’s first single Want To Want Me celebrates five months in the Australian charts and almost 100 million YouTube views.
Most of those hits were fuelled by the steamy make-out scenes.
The single singer, who split from fellow pop star Jordin Sparks last year, said all that rolling in the sheets in the name of art “doesn’t get me turned on necessarily” even if it isn’t a bad day at the office.
Nor did all those female hands running down his chest for the video for new single Cheyenne get him particularly hot under the collar.
“Want To Want Me gets really steamy but I was co-directing it so my mind was on the shots I wanted to capture,” he said.
The song broke records in the US where it was the most added song to pop radio in history, signalling Derulo has the might to take on the women currently dominating the charts.
His stats are impressive, with more than two billion streams on Spotify alone and 50 million singles sold worldwide.
But he doesn’t think the men of pop will match the might of Taylor, Beyonce, Rihanna and Meghan Trainor, who also guests on his record.
“I just think there are way more top chicks and the guys aren’t usually that cool,” he said.
“Women are way more interesting to me. Guys like girl (artists), girls like girls and if you had a party, there’s no way you would want a party of all guys. Two much testosterone and there’s no such thing as too much oestrogen.
“The charts show you that, that there are way more women doing pop at a higher level.”
While Derulo will give fans a taste of his live chops when he performs for the Nova Red Room global tour in Sydney on Thursday, he is finalising details for a return visit for shows later this year.
And top of his list after landing Urban’s talents for his album would be a collaboration with Hugh Jackman.
“We could do a musical theatre number right?” he said.
