The Department of Education has had to step in to provide water to a Gold Coast School after it ran dry.
Tamborine Mountain State School, which relies on bore and tank water, ran out of water yesterday.
The school said the Department of Education is supporting them through the crisis and it will remain open until the end of term as “every day counts for our students to learn.”
In a statement issued to the Bulletin a spokesman from the Department of Education said water was being delivered to the school.

“Tamborine Mountain State School remains open and operating as usual, and its main priority continues to be the safety and wellbeing of students and staff,” the statement said.
“As there is no town water supply for Tamborine Mountain, the school operates on bore and tank water. Water bubblers, toilets and basins are functional.
“In collaboration with QBuild, the Department of Education is ensuring water is delivered to the school for the remainder of the week prior to the school holidays. The first deliveries have already taken place.
“Outside-hours school care and vacation services have not been disrupted.
“Questions about Tamborine Mountain water supplies should be directed to Scenic Rim Regional Council.”
