Gold Coast Private Hospital celebrates successful year of dozens of deliveries

The Gold Coast Private Hospital hosted hundreds of new mums and bubs over the weekend, as many of its former patients get ready to celebrate their first Christmas.

CHLOE and Paul Bamford love Christmas and with nine-month-old Avery in the picture, they “have a lot to celebrate” this year.

Mr and Mrs Bamford joined 400 other parents, babies, and siblings yesterday at the Gold Coast Private Hopsital’s Baby’s First Christmas celebration to reflect on the year that was.

The tight-knit community, now with more than 500 members, have either met each other in Gold Coast Private maternity ward or via the ‘Born at Private’ Facebook group.

Chole said the “special community made everything smooth-sailing” and now looked forward to the birth of her second child at the same maternity ward next year.

“They have been a great support,” she said.

“Today is a great start to Christmas, and we have a lot to celebrate.”

Gold Coast Private Hospital Maternity Ward manager Judy Ross said the Christmas party was a nice opportunity to do something special for families celebrating their first Christmas as a family.

“A lot of the parents know each other from being on the wards, and they love to come back and show us their beautiful babies.

“We love seeing them too.”
