What is the secret to coming up with a winning Cyber League formula? Well, it requires a bit of extra insight.
Nathan Mulhearn emerged victorious in Round 7 of the Village Roadshow Theme Parks competition after recording 860 points, edging out runner-up Luke Kunde (850 points).
The final match of the round was completed this week after being disrupted by wet weather.
Mulhearn wins a Village Roadshow pass for four, valued at $756, while Kunde picks up a two-hour game play at Topgolf, valued at $300, as Round 7 was a mega prize week.
Mulhearn’s extensive playing and coaching background in the region has certainly paid off.
For years he plied his trade at Robina City in the Gold Coast Premier League, before moving into the South Cast Football Queensland Premier League.
Those deep insights into how certain players operated, and how coaches responded to certain match ups, have ensured that while Mulhearn admits he at times goes with the pick and stick mentality, he has the knowledge to adapt as the season changes.
“At the start it was a bit hard, it was a case of just picking what you thought was going to happen in the season,” Mulhearn said. “It’s pretty close, but the top three teams in the league were pretty clear cut … so it was picking those players from the top three teams that might get a bag full against the bottom teams.
“I think the key is just being aware of the players and the games they have coming.”
In the most recent Round 9 instalment of the Cyber League, Louise Pase came away with the victory after accumulating 870 points. She wins a Sea World pass and Tropical Reef Snorkel for four, courtesy of the Village Roadshow Theme Parks, valued at $692.
The prizes continue this week with the eligible winner of Round 13 receiving a family pass for four to Village Roadshow, valued at $756.
It is not too late to enter your team to be eligible for top weekly prizes.
