Australia’s next travel bubble with Singapore is about to begin, as other bubbles with two other Asian nations loom. See how it affects your travel plans.

The travel bubble with Singapore begins on November 21 when fully vaccinated Singaporeans will be allowed to travel to Sydney and Melbourne without being quarantined.
The travellers will have to undergo a Covid test when they arrive in Victoria and NSW, as do Aussies who have been able to travel to Singapore since November 8.
The welcoming back of Singaporean visitors marks the formal opening of the bubble, with others being signed off with Japan and South Korea in the weeks to come.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the resumption of international arrivals last week.
“Australia is swinging its doors open to fully vaccinated Singaporean travellers in November,” Mr Morrison said.
“This is another significant milestone in our step-by-step approach to safely reopening to the world that we outlined in the National Plan.
“It follows the announcement this week that fully vaccinated travellers from New Zealand will be welcomed back in October.
“This means within weeks Australia will be welcoming tourists from two of our top ten travel destinations. This is the billion dollar boost that Australia’s tourism industry has been waiting for,” he said.
To be able to travel to Singapore Australians must
- have had both Covid-19 vaccine doses with the last dose at least two weeks before departure
- show proof of your vaccination status at the airport when you check in
-Download and use the Singapore contact tracing app
-have travel insurance with enough to cover treatment in Singapore of Covid-19 - up to a minimum of $30,000 Singapore dollars.
