Kodi Ned Brown charged after doing ‘runner’ at border

A MAN accused of trying to flee officers at a Gold Coast airport has had his matter mentioned in court for the first time.

Kodi Ned Brown, 24, did not appear when his charges were heard in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

He is charged with obstructing police and enter dwelling to commit an indictable offence.

Police said Brown arrived at the Gold Coast Airport on a flight from Sydney on Monday morning.

Police will allege the man did a “runner” from the airport when it was revealed he was wanted on a return-to-prison warrant.

He is also accused of breaking into a property and stealing clothes.

The man was found hiding in bushland by the dog squad at 12.50pm.

Brown did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody.

The matter was adjourned until August 20.
