Just one coronavirus case left on the Gold Coast
Good news for Gold Coasters as the State Government reveals just how many active coronavirus infections remain in the city.

ONLY one active case of coronavirus remains on the Gold Coast, as the city nears closer to becoming free of the highly contagious disease.
As of Wednesday afternoon Queensland health revealed that a total of 193 locals have now recovered from the viral infection – leaving a single patient.
Across the state active figures have also shrunk with a total of 18 known cases, seven of which have been hospitalised.

A total of 263 Gold Coasters are still under strict quarantine orders, due to their contact with known patients, overseas travel or if they are awaiting the results of tests.
The Gold Coast was the location of the first known active case in Queensland after a tourist from Wuhan was diagnosed in late January.
