A BREITBART news editor who was fired for racist tweets she wrote in the aftermath of the London terror attack is crying poor and begging for a bailout to cover her medical costs.

Katie McHugh, who was fired on Monday, says that she was let go for “telling the truth about Islam,” according to her crowd-funding page.

Her former employers and a scathing CNN report see it differently.

While others were expressing their condolences on Twitter the night of the attacks that killed seven people and injured 48 others, McHugh tweeted, “There would be no deadly terror attacks in the UK if Muslims didn’t live there.”

Bones actor Pej Vahdat responded to her tweet, calling her a “moron.” To which McHugh responded, “You’re an Indian.” Vahdat is actually Iranian-American.

This isn’t the first time that McHugh has made racially incendiary comments on Twitter. She once tweeted, “Mexicans wrecked Mexico & think invading the USA will magically cure them of their retarded dysfunction. LOL.”

McHugh’s crowd-funding page says she is at $US4400 of her $US10,000 goal. She is raising money to cover what she says are “medical bills she has to pay while finding another job,” though she has attacked others on Twitter for accepting welfare.

She once tweeted, “Funny how Europeans assimilated, unlike Third Worlders demanding welfare while raping, killing Americans.”

This is the second time this year that an employee has left Breitbart over controversial remarks. The first was Milo Yiannopoulos, who resigned after comments he’d made promoting paedophilia surfaced.
