JOHN Potter, property player on the Gold Coast since the 80s, has emerged with a new development partner – fellow developer Mark Howard’s wife Margaret.
A company owned by John and Margaret has bought a Palm Beach development site that sits between the highway and Jefferson Lane for $1.44 million.

HARRY Poulos, head of a Brisbane architectural practice, has surfaced as the buyer of a beachfront property in Mermaid Beach’s Multi-Millionaires’ Row that has sold for close to $5 million.
The 405sq m site’s occupied by an ‘original’ house, with Brisbane resident Patricia Bell the long-term owner.
The property’s on the southern side of a double lot which sold for $10.3 million a year ago and appears destined to take a new home for Village Roadshow boss Clark Kirby and family.

TONY Burnett, an hotelier who’s just set a price record for elite Main Beach apartment building the Ocean Isles, hasn’t wasted any time moving back to an old haunt, the riverfront at nearby Paradise Waters.
The boatie and wife Toni have bought an $8.7 million tri-level Admiralty Drive house that spans more than 1000sq m and comes with garaging for eight cars.
It’s a tad bigger than their 680sq m apartment at the beachfront Ocean Isles, sold for $6.52 million.
