Special Report: Koonenberry Gold’s fourth diamond hole at the Enmore project in northeast NSW has reinforced the Sunnyside prospect’s potential to host broad intervals of relatively shallow gold.

Hole 25ENDD004 returned a 149.5m intersection grading 0.94g/t gold including 91.5m at 1.15g/t gold from a down-hole depth of 184.5m.

Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) also estimated the mineralisation to have a true width of ~75m across strike of the first order shear zone.

This follows the first three holes that all intersected thick zones of mineralisation topping up at Hole 25ENDD002, which returned 172.9m at 2.07g/t gold from 171m including 25m at 5.23g/t from 194m.

The company has wrapped up the Enmore drill program on completion of 25ENDD010, with geological observations extending the strike length of the Sunnyside system to more than 260m, up from the previous estimate of 230m earlier in May 2025.

Mineralisation at Sunnyside remains open along strike, updip and at depth in the preferred granite rock.

“Results from hole 004 at Sunnyside continue to impress with broad intervals of gold mineralisation intersected within the preferred granite host rock,” managing director Dan Power said.

“This interval represents a 152.65 grams x metres intercept, which is our third best result to date.

“We have now completed hole 010 and have concluded the drill program ahead of deteriorating weather conditions.

“This inaugural drilling program has been a great success for our shareholders, with a gold system identified over a 260m x 300m x 75m area.”

Power added that the break in drilling would allow field teams the opportunity to design the next round of drilling and conduct geological mapping and soil sampling at other high priority targets in the district to bring them up to drill-ready status.

KNB is also planning work at the company’s high priority projects in the Lachlan Fold Belt.

“With six drill holes from this initial drilling program at Enmore remaining to be reported, three of which contained visible gold, we expect strong news flow in the coming months,” Power added.

Results from holes 005 and 006, which contained visible gold, are expected in late May and mid-June respectively.

Watch: Why this gold developer has caught Guy's eye

The 302km2 Enmore project is within the underexplored New England Gold Belt, which hosts the 1.7Moz gold-antimony Hillgrove mine, the 8Moz Ravenswood gold mine, the 7.7Moz and 0.36Mt copper Mt Morgan mine and the 2.5Moz Cracow gold mine.
