Aldoro Resources builds Kameelburg scale as mineralisation extended to 1350m

Aldoro Resources continues to build the Kameelburg niobium and REE project’s scale with TREO results up to 2.1pc

Special Report: Diamond drilling has struck broad, high-grade rare earth intersections and extended the strike to 1350m at the Kameelburg rare earth and niobium deposit in Namibia.

Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) returned the best REE result at the project to date with 195m at 2.1% total rare earth oxides, 0.19% niobium and 325 parts per million molybdenum.

The company also hit 105m at 1% TREO, 0.3% Nb2O5 and 137ppm Mo from a lower zone in the same drill hole.

Overall, grades in the three holes peaked at 2.1% TREO, 0.4% Nb2O5 and 413ppm Mo.

ARN said the new results would be included in an upcoming maiden mineral resource for Kameelburg, once the current phase 1 drilling is finished.

The company is 8777m into the program and expects the next batch of assays to be ready by late July.

Two distinct mineralised zones

As demonstrated in the diamond drill results, Kameelburg comprises two distinct zones of mineralisation. The upper zone is REE-dominant and the lower zone hosts higher niobium grades.

The latest assays extended the deposit 1350m in the east-west direction. The deposit also stretches 550m across and extends 510m deep, although Aldoro is yet to test for deeper mineralisation.

Holes DD002B and DD005A, part of the most recent drilling results, both ended in mineralisation, a promising indicator of potential depth extensions.

ARN has drilled 23 diamond holes in this program so far.

The company also sees potential for step-out mineralisation to the southeast, with several drill results still pending in that area.
