THERE are 17 newcomers on the 2018 Gold Coast Bulletin Power 100 — including construction industry high achiever Steve Marais, who debuts at number 93.
The South African-born head of Robina-based Condev Constructions, has had a cracker year with his company behind some of the city’s biggest projects, including work on key Commonwealth Games infrastructure.
With Mr Marais at the helm, has been responsible for a vast work book including many of the Gold Coast’s new caryards, office buildings, health and aged care facilities.
The company has apartment and residential projects that span the Coast and was last week named Business of the Year at the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards.

The Power 100 will be released in full in a gloss magazine in Friday’s Bulletin — and subscribers to goldcoastbulletin.com.au can see daily instalments, starting from numbers 100-81 today.
A further 20 will be revealed daily online tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the full list on Friday.
