COMMERCIAL property sales don’t come much tastier than this.

The building housing the Gotham Grill and Rooftop Bar at 6 Bayview St, Runaway Bay, has hit the market.

The auction campaign, led by Ray White Commercial’s Michael Willems and Jackson Rameau, comes 15 months after the three-level property was bought by Victoria Polasek and Sean Bassett in a $2.3 million deal.

The multi-level restaurant was commissioned by The Ridgeway Group, which also owns Little Truffle, five BiN restaurants and Rivea Italian at Pacific Fair, and opened early last year.

Gotham Grill and Rooftop Bar has proven a popular eatery since it opened in 2018.

It has won numerous awards, including best new restaurant in the state’s Restaurant & Catering awards last year, and has been credited with reviving the Glitter Strip’s northern suburbs dining scene.

Mr Rameau said the building, situated on a 554sq m block, offers a buyer the chance to own a ‘gem’ of the city’s dining scene.

“Gotham Grill and Rooftop Bar is the newest gem in the Ridgeway Group crown. It’s a spectacular multi-level venue in the beautiful heart of the Gold Coast,” Mr Rameau said.

“The site is perfectly positioned with proximity to existing and emerging business precincts.”

The building contains a vintage Hollywood steak restaurant on level two and a swanky rooftop bar up top.

Mr Willems said the owners are divesting the asset to focus on new investment opportunities.

Last month the building housing Gold Coast dining institution and acclaimed restaurant Hellenika hit the market.

An auction is scheduled for 11am tomorrow for 2235 Gold Coast Highway property, which has been owned since 2009 by Krys (Qld) Pty Ltd, linked to James and Krystina Gloftis who are the parents of Hellenika owner Simon Gloftis.

They paid $1.8 million in 2009 for the building, which last year underwent substantial renovations to include a rooftop dining area at the new Hellenika.
